Bruce Wayne

Who doesn't know Batman? Born to Thomas and Martha Wayne, members of the respected Wayne and Kane families respectively, Bruce Wayne is the quintessential Son of Gotham. Despite being well off, the family suffered hardships: the loss of a younger brother to Bruce, the death of their beloved butler, then the death of his parents. All of these shaped young Master Wayne's life in ways that would come back to haunt the criminal scum of Gotham many years later.

Bruce threw himself into his schooling, then into further training including traveling the world to put his hand to anything people would teach him. He picked up stunt-driving and racing, the ability to tinker and invent, and a preternatural ability to intimidate. Various martial artists and combat specialists taught him their skills and became a master of many different abilities at a young age. He learned how to hunt people down, picking up skills that would serve him as a master detective, but left his mentor when he found out the man was a killer; he couldn't step over that line and held onto that part of his humanity for the future.

Upon his return to Gotham, he spent time within the city as he started to act as a vigilante, working against the threats he could see working in the shadows. He should have been working as the CEO of Wayne Enterprises, but a young strategist hired by his uncle advised having Bruce killed if he didn't step in line. That almost happened when his abode was blown up, but he survived and returned to Wayne Manor to pick up the mantle of Batman.

🦇 Bruce Wayne donates body armor to the department as part of his work for charity. One of his competitors, J. Devlin Davenport, also donates to the department, giving officers the choice of firearm. Bruce is very vocal about this, making it clear where he stands on firearms when asked. He accepts the force needs them to do their job, but would still rather dissociate himself from them.
🦇 If Bruce has the suit with him, it's in the trunk of the car Alfred brought him in, or whichever car he decided to drive that day. There's a secret compartment under the floor to enable plausible deniability, and he rarely, if ever, carries it with him.
